Environmental excellence, innovation and leadership were celebrated on 30 June, when 12 UK companies picked up accolades at the Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) Environmental Leadership Awards. Pat McFadden Minister of State for Employment Relations and Postal Affairs, presented the trophies to the winners of this year’s BCE Awards, one of the longest running and most prestigious environmental award schemes in the UK. “The need and potential for innovation in a period of such rapid change is almost limitless. Government cannot do this on its own. We have to work together and the businesses here today are some of those that can lead the way. Your creativity can help develop the measures essential to protect our environment and drive sustainable growth.
